Historian Rainer Hunger and journalist Harald Hofstetter from visualhistory.tv digitize and restore 8mm, 9.5mm and 16mm films from private provenance. They combine the technically flawless digitized material with meticulously researched content, making it even more substantial and valuable.
The former hobby of the film collector Rainer developed into a technically and, together with Harald, editorially highly respected forge. The two friends have built up their own stock of analog and digitized film treasures over decades. Since both of them take their time in indexing and accurately editing their films, their holdings on TCP are growing bit by bit. That's why it's worth taking a look at the world of visualhistory on a regular basis.
